The Swedish Public Health Agency are looking for individuals who would like to participate in an interview study on what it is like to live with HIV in Sweden. The purpose of the study is to investigate the experiences of people living with HIV who moved from their home countries to settle/live in Sweden. The interview will include questions about challenges in everyday life in relation to HIV and experiences of support and care in Sweden.
They are looking for people throughout Sweden who now live here. The interview can be conducted either faceto-face via telephone or video. It is possible to be interviewed in Swedish,
French, Swahili, Lingala or English or to be assisted by an interpreter of other languages.
To be able to participate in the study, you must be:
1) Migrant (you have moved from your home country to live in Sweden)
2) 18 years or older
3) Living with HIV

The project is carried out by the Department of Epidemiology and Global Health at Umeå University in collaboration with the Swedish Public Health Agency.

If you decide to participate and then change your mind, you can end your participation at any time without consequences. The project guarantees your confidentiality and that unauthorized persons will not access the interview material. All collected research material will be stored and handled safely.

Folkhälsomyndigheten söker personer som bor i hela Sverige. Intervjun kan genomföras vid en personlig träff eller via telefon. Möjlighet finns att genomföra intervjun på svenska, franska, swahili, lingala, engelska eller med tolk för andra språk. För att kunna delta i studien ska du vara migrant, 18 år eller äldre och hiv-positiv.

Om du beslutar dig för att delta och sedan ångrar dig, kan du när som helst, och utan orsak, avbryta ditt deltagande. Projektet garanterar din konfidentialitet och att obehöriga inte får del av intervjumaterialet. Allt insamlat forskningsmaterial förvaras och hanteras säkert.
